  1. Before you start dating, collect an unlisted phone number to initially give to your date so that the person cannot contact you if you do not wish him/her to do so.
  2. Stay away from giving your date any detailed information about your work place or where you stay. Your phone number and email address should be enough to stay in touch. You might think that this would make you appear too suspicious; but if you are meeting somebody unknown, it is always wise to be on the safest side.
